Social commitment
During the war period in Ukraine, Dictio lawyers were involved in a number of humanitarian pro bono projects supporting foreign and Ukrainian NGO’s – which supplied humanitarian aid to Ukrainian hospitals, medical equipment, generators, and prosthetics for Ukrainian people.
The Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine has damaged and destroyed the country’s energy infrastructure. Rebuilding Ukraine will require a major effort on the part of all stakeholders; however, it brings an opportunity to build back a greener and more modern energy system. In December 2023, Dictio joined the Ukraine Energy Initiative – a cross-sector global coalition tasked with accelerating the recovery of Ukraine’s energy sector (supported by the United Nations Global Compact).
In 2024, Dictio Founder and Managing Partner Olena Shtohryn joined the Expert Council of the Representative Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in Poland. The Council consists of experienced professionals and legal experts in Polish and Ukrainian law who work on a voluntary basis to support the protection of Ukrainians’ rights in Poland. The Office assists Ukrainian citizens residing in Poland in protecting their rights and interests. It addresses human rights issues, provides legal consultations, and helps resolve matters related to social, labor, and administrative issues. Dictio's team actively promotes Ukraine on the international market and establishes cooperation between foreign and Ukrainian developers, construction companies, and organizations. The firm's lawyers participate in and speak at construction industry events in Ukraine and abroad, giving presentations and explaining the legal framework for doing construction business in Ukraine.
As a member of Board of Directors Confederation of Builders of Ukraine in 2024 Dictio conducted educational webinars for Confederation of builders of Ukraine involving European experts and focused on international cooperation and procurements:

- “Join Ventures with foreign capital companies”.
Earlier, Olena Shtohryn, Managing Partner of Dictio, was included by the committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as an expert in the Working Group for the development of the Urban Planning Code of Ukraine.
