Profile
Olena Shtohryn is an attorney at law, legal counselor, and mediator with extensive expertise in real estate, construction, and dispute resolution.
Olena obtained her law degree from the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the National Bank of Ukraine in 2007 and was admitted to the Ukrainian National Bar Association (Kyiv Regional Bar Association) in 2011.
She began her career at the State Property Fund of Ukraine, gaining valuable experience in privatization, state-owned property management, and litigation, including cases before the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
In 2008, she joined one of Kyiv’s leading development holdings, providing legal counsel for major projects such as H-Tower, Riviera Riverside, and Ambassador House etc..
In 2011, Olena joined a top-tier law firm specializing in agriculture and land law, where she led the Real Estate and Construction practice and later became a partner.
In 2019, she earned a Mediation Certificate from the Kyiv Mohyla Business School and Certificate Unit School of Business (in business administration and management) and established Dictio, focusing on real estate investment, due diligence, dispute resolution, and alternative pre-trial settlements.
In 2022, she was listed as a foreign attorney eligible to practice in Poland (Ukrainian and international law) under the Warsaw Bar Association and expand companie’s activity on the EU and US markets through affiliation with Miller Canfield Paddock and Stone (USA).
Her practice area covers due diligence of real estate and unfinished construction projects for the purpose of their acquisition, restoration, reconstruction, and completion. Olena also advises foreign and national clients during the signing of real estate, investment, and construction-related contracts, as well as on the application of city planning, land, and land use legislation. She was successfully dealing with pretrial settlement in the Intergovernmental infrastructure export projects (OECD), negotiations and creating partnerships between foreign and national construction companies.
She has dealt with changes in real estate and construction law in Ukraine during martial law.
In 2023, Olena was appointed as an expert in the Working Group on the Urban Planning Code of Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
In 2024, she joined the Expert Council of the Representative Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman in Poland.
A strong advocate for the construction industry, Olena is a Board Member of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and a frequent speaker at industry events.
