‍On 23–25 March 2026, the Asphalt Days Forum in Ostróda brought together over 250 representatives of the road construction sector, research institutions and infrastructure companies to discuss market trends, technological innovation and sustainability in road construction.

🤝 Memorandum of Cooperation

During the forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine of Builders of Ukraine and the Polski Kongres Drogowy.
The agreement aims to strengthen international cooperation in the rebuilding of Ukraine’s infrastructure, promote innovation in construction and facilitate knowledge exchange between Ukrainian and Polish partners.

🏗 Institutional cooperation

Another important step is the planned cooperation between the National Institute for Infrastructure Development (Ukraine) and the Road and Bridge Research Institute in Poland, supporting research collaboration, technical expertise and the implementation of modern standards in infrastructure development.

🎤 Panel discussion

During the forum, Olena Shtohryn, Managing Partner at Dictio Law Firm participated in a panel discussion on environmental challenges in infrastructure development.

The discussion was expertly moderated by Karolina Pełczyńska (Instytut Badawczy Dróg i Mostów IBDIM/Road and Bridge Research Institute) and brought together leading industry professionals:

The discussion addressed the environmental impact of the war in Ukraine, including ecosystem damage, emissions from military activity, and the need for demining and environmental assessments as the first stage of reconstruction projects.

At the same time, Ukraine’s recovery creates opportunities for modernizing infrastructure, integrating sustainable technologies and aligning reconstruction with EU environmental standards.

At the same time, Ukraine’s recovery creates unprecedented opportunities for investors and contractors:
• large-scale infrastructure modernization
• integration of green technologies and sustainable materials
• alignment with EU policies and funding mechanisms
