Читати на FacebookLate December 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers took another step towards the implementation of the European #regulation_305 into Ukrainian legislation. In particular, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers establishes the form and instructions for the declaration of characteristics of construction products, the procedure for developing and adopting of national documents on the acceptability and requirements to the competence of competent authorities. The paper was adopted following the Law "On making available on the market of construction products on the market", that will finally enter into force on January 1, 2023.
In a nutshell, the Law establishes a range of obligations for market players, defines the declaring principles for technical specifications of construction products, introduces mechanisms for assessment of essential technical specifications, establishes basic requirements to buildings, introduces mechanisms to ensure the interconnections of regulatory requirements to the engineering and structural systems of buildings and construction products.
The manufacturer, who declares the conformity of their products with the European standards, shall be responsible for the presented information. And the consumer is not only able to get all information about the supplier, the manufacturer and the composition and quality of products but also has an opportunity to verify the accuracy of the information in a short time. As a result, it will be possible to reduce the number of substandard products on the market and to improve the market surveillance.
Back in July 2020, there were adopted national standards harmonized with the international ones. Whereas, the old regulations did not allow domestic producers to mark their products with the CE label and freely sell them on the EU market without additional certification. The implementation of the Regulation 305 will contribute to signing of the ACAA Agreement with the EU, improving the image of "Made in Ukraine" products and make it easier for the Ukrainian business to access the global markets. #law #construction #business #quality #dictiolaw
